WIG CAP SIZES
The Majority of wigs in an average cap size will fit the majority of the population. This however, is not everybody. We are all unique. 
As a general rule of thumb, 

PETITE WIG CIRCUMFERENCE: 51-54cm (20-21.25 inch)

AVERAGE WIG CIRCUMFERENCE: 54-57cm (21.25-22.5 inch)

LARGE WIG CIRCUMFERENCE: 57-60cm (22.5-24 inch)

HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR LOVELY HEAD?

Hi Beautiful girlies and guys! 
Often, people are unsure of which size of wig cap is going to fit them best. I feel it is only right to have some information for you on the general sizing guides and some information on HOW TO measure your beautiful head 
MYTH: It is easy to tell what size of head someone has by looking. Professionals do not need to measure heads!
TRUTH: This is not possible - due to the contours and shape of every head, it is imperative that you are measured / measure your own head sizing
It is IMPORTANT to note that circumference is not the only measurement that we need to consider. Front to Back, as well as ear to ear should also be noted. 
At Mimo Wigs, we can provide wig alteration on the majority of hand tied and wefted caps, and MiMo has been certified to do this for you lovely girlies out there wearing hair - if your cap needs to be brought in. 
JON RENAU have Provided a very handy tool that easily demonstrates how to measure for your wig, and also - their sizing chart. 
Most people will fall between different categories for the different measurements. for example, you may be an average circumference but petite front to back, and large ear to ear. You should ALWAYS choose the largest of the measurements. Caps can be adjusted at the other areas and brought in for you.

  • By electronically using any coupon stating "VATEXEMPT", and by completing the declaration(online at checkout, or by post); you are making a personal declaration to the HMRC.

VAT Relief Claims (Online) Under HMRC Reference: Notice 701/7 (December 2014)

  1. If you are eligible for your wigs/hairpieces/scalp prosthesis to be Zero Rated from UK VAT on medical grounds, you can complete the DECLARATION AT CHECKOUT, and use discount code:  VATEXEMPT at checkout

  2. Orders must be placed by the person who is medically exempt.

  3. Hats / Headwear / Care Products are Not Eligible to have removal of VAT. Only Scalp Prosthetics (Wigs / Hair Replacement Toppers / Custom Made Wigs) are eligible. See the above HMRC information

  4. The online V.A.T Relief Claim Form is a personal declaration to HMRC. Utilising VATEXEMPT Codes / signing the form electronically: you are verifying that you are eligible to reclaim the VAT as defined above. IF YOU USE VATEXEMPT discount codes without completion of your form, MiMo Wigs shall attempt contact. If no completion of form within 2 days, MiMo Wigs have the right to cancel your order.  MiMo Wigs shall attempt to contact you prior to this to allow you to complete online the declaration

  5. Please contact HMRC directly if you need advice regarding eligibility.

  6. This VAT Relief Claim Form is a personal declaration: In using VAT EXEMPT codes and signing the declaration (electronic or paper), you are verifying that you are eligible to reclaim the VAT as defined here. You are aware that information may be passed to HMRC upon request.

  7. Please contact HMRC directly for all queries relating to eligibility.

  8. Postal forms should be processed within 21 working days of receipt. Please contact MiMo Wigs Ltd if you have not had your claim processed within this timescale.

  9. All refunds of VAT (if not done at point of sale, will be via return to the payment method initially used........processed as a partial refund).
